Calm- "It's not a big deal, just don't let it happen again"
Shallowrose doesn't get angered very easily, especially if it's an accident. As long as you don't personally target her sister, loved ones, or are just acting like a plain mouse-brain, she'll let things slide. This however, does not mean she is passive. If you make the same mistakes over again, she will speak up about it and you may not get soft words then.

Logical- "If we do it this way we can get it done with less of a hassle in less time."
While she is not typically one to try and lead, if she sees a solution to a problem, she will voice her opinion. She typically is willing to follow along unless she thinks something they are doing is pointless or more work than necessary. This trait of using her basic sense of logic can be seen in not just problem solving, however. In arguments, while she may get emotional, she is typically able to bring up actual points instead of fussing over something unnecessary. 

Honest- "I'm telling you this because I love you; your fur looks like a bird's nest that's been stepped on and thrown into a fox burrow"
Shallowrose is not and never has been someone to beat around the bush. She will always tell you straight away what she is thinking. She has always been peeved whenever she would notice someone being fake or lying to spare another's feelings. While she knows sometimes that the truth can hurt, she finds no point or decency in trying to lie to someone else. This can lead to her upsetting others, but she almost always is able to match her candor with kind words or gentle suggestions.

Persistent- "I'm not leaving here until you tell me what's going on."
Pushy, annoying, nosey; all of these are things that Shallowrose has been called for her inability to let something go. When she feels strongly about something, she fights for it, no matter how irrelevant or pointless it may be. This can especially be seen when she is dealing with the feelings of others. She knows show unhealthy it is to keep your emotions bottled up, so even if it makes you hate her, she will get you to open up if she thinks you are hiding something. This trait has always been present in her life, but it wasn't until she learned the unhealthy and manipulative nature of her sister's relationship with her mate, and how she had hidden how she felt from her for moons, that Shallowrose truly began to push for the truth no matter how long it took to get it. She now refuses to leave her sister's side until she is sure there is nothing she may want to tell her.

Confident- "Starclan didn't give me grace so that I could hide it sweetheart"
This she-cat is not easily offended, especially when it comes to herself. She has very few insecurities and is quite pleased with who she is in every possible way. This however, does not make her egotistic. In fact, one of her biggest turn offs is arrogance. She is never one to personally target someone unless provoked, but she is not past boasting when someone criticizes her looks. She is happy with how she is and does not intend to change herself for anyone.

Loyal- "Bad mouth my clan one more time and see if you don't get a claw down your throat"
Loyalty is a trait that burns deeply within Shallowrose. Whether it be loyalty to her clan, her family, her friends, or even an idea she agrees with, she will stick beside it and refuse to waver no matter what. She makes for great backup if you get into an argument with someone else because even if you are wrong and she can see that, she will continue to stick up for you and fight alongside you until the very end. 

Sassy- "Aww what's wrong tough guy? Can't keep up?"
Shallowrose is not above using sass to knock you down from your high horse. In fact, sass is one of her key traits that comes to light no matter what the circumstances. Even if she is in the wrong, even if she is half asleep, even if she is struggling to breath with black-cough, she will still find a way to sass you out of the way. 


Quick Witted- "Sure thing, and in the meantime, maybe you can try and find that dust sized brain of yours in there somewhere"
This is not a cat you want to engage with in a battle of snark. She may not be a genius or intellectual anomaly, but she sure is quick witted and can come up with a clever comeback to just about anything. She will make an insult towards you that you didn't even realize was accurate until now and then walk away with her short tail flicking with pride and her head held high.

Secretly Clingy- "Just shut up and cuddle me...mouse brain.."
This is a trait not many cats know about. Shallowrose comes off as a rose, thorns and all, but secretly has the softest petals you'll ever come across. She is a ball of fluff and cuddles if you get to know her and she lets you in. She doesn't try to keep cats out of her life, she just hasn't found the right one to feel comfortable with. Her sister is one of the few cats who knows of her secret that Shallowrose believes is shameful because it makes her seem less like a tough witty she-cat and more of a softy which she doesn't want. If your cat somehow does manage to get to know this part of her, she will refuse to admit that she enjoys cuddles very easily. Instead, she is far more likely to demand you stay with her and make an offhand comment about how dumb you are. All the while she will likely be as red as a holly berry.

Fiery- "Say that again beetle-face! I'll make you beg for death berries!"
While she is normally a calm cat, she has a spit-fire side to her that she doesn't exactly hide. On the off chance that you manage to infuriate the small she-cat, whether it be by insulting her sister, or by being insufferably condescending to her, Starclan itself can't prepare you for the venomous words that will get thrown your way. In all liklihood, Shallowrose will need to be physically held back, which isn't a hard task considering her size, to keep her from leaving (or rather trying to leave) you a physical reminder of why you shouldn't provoke her.

Over Protective- "Poppyear? What's wrong? Did someone upset you? Where are they? I'll bury them I swear to Starclan I will"
Even though she is smaller than her sister, Shallowrose has always felt like the big sister and always will feel the need to protect her. Poppyear is a kindhearted soul that Shallowrose believes never has or never could do anything wrong. So if you dare to hurt her in any way, you will have to deal with the small ball of burning hatred and vengeful swearing. She isn't strong, or skilled in battle for that matter, so she will sometimes put herself in danger to defend her sister's wellbeing or honor, but she will swear until she is on her deathbed that she would fight all of Starclan for her sister, and in all honesty, there is little reason to believe she wouldn't. Due to the fact that Poppyear is the only cat in her life she is close enough to, she is the only one that gets Shallowrose's protective instincts to guard them. However, if Shallowrose were to ever fall in love, have a family, or even just have someone else in her life that she would care deeply for, she would likely be just as protective over them as well.

Judgemental- "Oh... You still exist?.. That's unfortunate."
Shallowrose has been a judgy cat since she could first open her eyes and see the inadequate life around her. And due to the fact that her sister is far more kind hearted, she typically has to judge others by herself. Her greatest dream in life is to find a partner in crime to cuddle with in the sunlight while throwing shade at the inferior cats around them.

Defensive- "W-what- you- you take that back you stupid rat!"
Clearly, pride is a big factor in what makes up Shallowrose's personality. So along with pride, comes her defensive nature. While she is not easily offended and has little insecurities, if you manage to point out something accurate about her that she hates, (for example the fact that she loves to cuddle or that she is secretly a huge softy for kits and elders) she will vehemently deny it no matter how right you are.

Lazy- "ughhhhhh just let me sleeeeeeeeeep"
Shallowrose will avoid effort like it has been prophesized to kill her. She will do just about anything to get out of doing work and getting to relax instead. She has a terrible work ethic and has been known to bargain with Starclan to allow her just one more minute of sleep. If you offer to take any duties off her paws, she will dote on you and call you her savior for days.

Easily Flustered- "w-wai- wait- what? No! What!? S-sh-shut up! Whatever!.."
Shallowrose seems like she may be able to keep her cool whenever, however all it takes is one handsome tom or pretty she-cat with a suggestive or flirtatious comment to unravel her into a blushing, stammering, defensive mess. It can be pretty humurous to watch her try and hide her blush because she can't do it gracefully.

• Prologue: 
    Magpiereach and Brindlewasp were two Gorgeclan warriors who grew up relatively unaware of each other. They acknowledged each other's existence, but that was about the extent of their relationship with each other. Despite the fact that they were born within three moons of each other, and the fact that their parents were good friends, the two seemed to go down different paths as their lives began. Each found friends and acquaintances elsewhere and did not have much interaction until several moons into their warriorhood. Magpiereach had been smitten with a slightly younger tom named Whistlepaw since he was an apprentice and Whistlepaw was a kit. When Whistlekit had become an apprentice, Magpiereach had only been a warrior for a few weeks, so it was unlikely that he would be granted Whistlekit as an apprentice. That didn't help his disappointment, however, when Whistlepaw was given Brindlewasp, a warrior three moons older than Magpiereach as his mentor. Magpiereach wanted desperately to spend more time with Whistlepaw and get to know him better, but had no way of doing so without looking strange. That was until one day, a little over a moon later, the only other apprentice, Oatpaw's mentor, Yarrowscratch died of a lung infection. Because Yarrowscratch had also been Magpiereach's former mentor, Magpiereach was given Oatpaw as an apprentice to finish his training with. While the circumstances that led to it were grim, Magpiereach at last had an excuse to get close to Whistlepaw. Because Whistlepaw and Oatpaw were the only two apprentices at the time, that meant that Magpiereach and Brindlewasp had to work alongside eachother to train their apprentices together. After about a moon, Brindlewasp had noticed Magpiereach's odd behavior towards Whistlepaw, and when the apprentice got distracted and injured during a battle practice, she confronted Magpiereach and told him that she could not train Whistlepaw to his full potential if Magpiereach insisted on distracting him. Magpiereach was indignated at this, but deep down he knew she wasn't wrong, so the two apprentices started to be trained more seperately for a short while. When the time came for Oatpaw and Whistlepaw to become warriors, Magpiereach had not quite let go of his crush for Whistlepaw, but managed to have supressed it until his and Oatpaw's training was finished. Whistlepaw became known as Whistlewind for his swift feet, and Oatpaw became Oatscratch, in honor of his first mentor. The night of their vigil, Magpiereach decided to take a walk in the territory. He was met by Brindlewasp who apologized for treating him like the enemy. The two reconnected and even began a nice friendship after this conversation. Brindlewasp knew his feelings for Whistlewind and even gave him some suggestions for how to woo him over, having spent the past several moons with the young tom and learning much about him. After a moon of conspiring together, Magpiereach finally worked up the nerve to express his feelings toward Whistlewind. However, when he went to find Whistlewind, he found that he wasn't alone, but instead was with another young she-cat. Magpiereach was crushed to find out that his longheld attraction towards Whistlewind was unrequited. Brindlewasp found her friend devastated and alone out in the territory and she went to comfort him. In doing so, the she-cat realized her growing affection for the tom that was once infuriatingly annoying to her. After many many moons of growing closer, the two finally decided to settle down and become mates.
• Infancy: 
Brindlewasp gave birth to two healthy young she-kits, Shallowkit, and Poppykit. While Shallowkit was clearly the runt, she was always the big sister at heart. The wriggling little kit was always getting herself into trouble from the moment she was born. When she got a little older, she was even more of a troublemaker. She was loud, bold, and far too confident for her small size, and she would often get herself and her poor sister into trouble. She was always proud to be a sister and was quite vocal in how great she and Poppykit were and that no one would ever tear them apart.
• Adolescence: 
When Shallowkit and Poppykit became Shallowpaw and Poppypaw, things started to change for the two. Shallowpaw was given Oatscratch, her father's former apprentice, as her mentor. She had alot of built up energy to train and seemed to take off with excitement, leaving her sister in her dust. While her sister started to have a life of her own, and with it her own problems, Shallowpaw was making friends, training hard, and causing trouble with every step she took. One of these friends, was Sweetpaw, a she-cat around her age, which Shallowpaw gravitated towards immediately. The two were naturally troublemakers with fiery personalities, so it was inevitable that their antics would lead to an interesting friendship and many, many annoyed senior warriors.
• Adulthood: 
Shallowpaw finally became a warrior with the name of Shallowrose and she began her new life with little worries. However, her sister Poppypaw, now Poppyear, had been dealing with issues all her own. When Shallowrose learned about her sister's unhealthy relationship with a cat they had trained with, she was disgusted, not only with the tom, but with herself for not being there for her sister and seeing the damage to her. Since she learned the truth she has been even more protective of her sister and has stopped causing as much trouble, focusing more on still enjoying her life, but being a good sister all the while.
